Horrible Blogger

Ok....WTH (notice the face)! I couldnt post a blog correctly if my life depended on it! Did you see how that last blog turned out???? Ok, so when I clicked on "Preview" it did not look like that! Anyway, I will get better as I go...bare with me!

Rambling

So nothing new to report here....I am a very bad blogger! Its like...before I started blogging my kids did some funny stuff and the stories cracked people up. Now that I want to blog about it they havent done anything thats blogworthy besides P*ss me off, lol! No, I am kidding...I love the little spawns!

To the right is a picture of Emma (4.8 years old)...Just a random shot of her playing in the snow! And to the left we have Miss Graci (2.8 years old)...also playing in the snow. They crack me up!

Oh and yes I do realize that their SnowOutfits do not coordinate....however, the SnowOutfits shown were on clearance and dont we all love clearance???????? Who cares if they match right????

Hush Little Baby....

So....my 2.8 year old is having troubles sleeping! She takes a great nap during the day and then goes to bed at about 8 every night....This child would seriously stay up ALL night if we let her....we put her to bed at 8 and she probably doesnt go to sleep until almost 10pm. Its really frustrating! I think she may have a sleep disorder because when she is sleeping she will come in our bedroom and get in bed with us (yeah I am too lazy and tired to put her back in her bed, lol)...but that wasnt the point...she wakes up like 4-5 times a night crying about something. So I know she doesnt get enough sleep. Someone told me to try Melatonin (an herbal remedy used for sleep)...well I crushed up a pill last night and put it in her Peanut Butter (OMG...I sound like I am drugging my kid!)....Anyway, she went right to sleep in like 20 minutes...its was AWESOME. However, she still came in our room and still woke up like 4-5 times crying in the night! So...on to plan B! Should I call the doctor and get her in? Anyone have any tips? Thanks!!

Spelling Issue?

Ok...I have to apologize for my spelling errors...you would think I graduated from Northwest or something...(ok I did)....but anyway....I post my damn blog and then go back and read it and there are soooooo many errors. I use spell check...but that only picks up misspelled words, not words that are technically spelled correctly but are used incorrectly....Like in my last post, I meant to say "Thick Hair" and said "Think Hair"....so I will give spellcheck an out on that one...because technically "Think" was spelled correctly. Ok, I just wanted to clear that up. Thanks for listening

I'm a big girl

So, I had been having problems with my oldest (Emma who is turning 5 in March) with sleeping in her OWN bed ALL night long....She would wake up in the middle of the night, wake up Graci and then together, they would stroll into our room at about 2am. Yeah I loved that! The worst part is...is that ever since Emma was was like 1.5 years old she has been sleeping in a big girl bed and we never really had a problem until Graci started sleeping in her big girl bed (which was when she turned 2)....

So, anyway, to get to my point of this blog....I have been telling Emma that if she can get at least 4 circles a week (that meaning, she has to stay in her bed all night, then she gets a circle on her chart) that I would take her to the dollar store and she can pick out a prize. Well it seems to be working rather well...she has slept in her own bed ALL week. But here is the funny part....My alarm goes off about 6:30, depending on if I have to wash my hair that day and then its 5:30 (yeah I know...I have really think hair...I think I may sell it on Ebay)...so anyway, my alarm goes off and just as I hit snooze....in walks Emma...."Mom, I slept in my bed all night, I am a big girl, lets go put a circle on my chart"....But Emma, how did you know to get up? "I heard your noisy thing come on and then I knew it was time to get up"...SO, with that said, Snooze is not an option because I have to alarm clocks now!

Therapy?

So I dont know if this is a sad, happy, funny or what.... Well in August of this year, my Great Grandma Iva passed away at 93 years of age (good for her, thats a long fricken time)...anyway, my kids witnessed the passing because we all knew it was coming and we were at the house visiting with Grandma until she was gone. Well i think in some way, that was really traumatic for Emma (my oldest, who is almost 5)...at that age you dont understand death really well and do not understand why people cant just stay here. Well every now and then, Emma will get really sad and when I ask her whats wrong, she will say, "I just miss my Grandma Iva"....and we talk about it for a minute and then she is fine. Of course, now she has Graci doing it every once in awhile and she will say, "Gramma Iva died"....we say, yeah we know....

So last night, Emma had ballet and when I got home from work to pick her up and take her she seemed really emotional. I had asked her what was wrong and she once again said that she was really upset about Gramma Iva...I explained that when people get old they have to go to heaven and blah blah blah....and she seemed ok.... Well we got to Ballet class and when her 30 minutes or strenuous ballet time were over she came running out of the class in tears! She said she just was so sad about Gramma Iva.....We talked more about it in the car and Emma came to the realization that its ok if she dies when she is old, but that she doesnt want hair like Gramma Iva's (short, grey and curly...like every old women)....she wants long hair with color! LOL, she says some funny stuff. So I wonder if I should get this kid some therapy or something.....She just cant get over it! Any advice?

P double O...P!

So what is the deal with little kids....Its like, everything has to do with Poop and Pee....My youngest, Graci seems to think that the word Poop is like the best word ever! So I will say, "What do you guys want for lunch?"....her reply, "How about a Peadut an POOP schramwich"....oh ok, that sounds deeee-licious! Emma went through this stage as well...I dont think it was as bad though... Graci will like sing a song and somehow or another with incorporate the word POOP in it somehow....Like the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is now, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Poop".....OMG, its so embarrassing sometimes! Does anyone else have this problem with their sweet little offspring?

Can we say "Room Wrecker"?

Ok....so to reference my 1,2,3 Magic Book....I have still been doing it and its been working pretty well! Well I was reading in the book that sometimes there are children referred to as, "Room Wreckers"...It describes them as children who went sent to their room or wherever, seem to tear it up and trash it while in there (also known as throwing a tantrum)...I skipped through that whole chapter because I thought to myself that I dont have a room wrecker. Well low and behold last night when the girls went to sleep ever so soundly (yeah right)....Graci decided that she would like a drink of water....well I am no fool and I know that was just a way to not have to go to sleep....so as Bobby and I sat on the couch and watched some good ol TV, we also watched Graci (who is 2 BTW) completely trash her room....when I say trash I mean, she literally took her mattress and flipped it on its side, threw pillows out of her room into the living room, threw things at Emma while she was sleeping, Screamed, said there was monsters in her room, took the sheets off her bed and tried to get Emma's off as well, hmmm....was there anything else....OH, 5 minutes after she threw the pillows out of the room she came back and picked them back up and them threw them again....Bobby and I were laughing (obviously hiding our faces)...we couldn't believe this child....I didn't know how to punish her because I skipped the damn chapter! So tonight I will be reading the chapter on "Room Wreckers"!!!!!
